MINING FOR GOLD

4/6/2018

Picture
Teaching is like mining for gold. The gold is not scattered all over the surface, and miners have to dig deeper and deeper. Yet, sometimes tragic accidents happen and the mine collapses, killing all of its workers underground.
As teachers, the more challenges we face, the deeper we dig into ourselves and our students to improve. Yet, if we cannot create an engaging learning environment or we mistreat our students (including public humiliation, blaming, beating, using rude words), the classroom will collapse like the gold mine. The class will no longer be a good place to learn any subject – killing our students’ willingness to learn.
