Today I met Sandi who was tasked with getting me to work on the bus in one piece and on time. From the Dagon centre, which is a brief walk from my front door, we caught the number 48 bus to the Shwe Baho hospital, a 30 minute ride away.

We arrived in Minbya, Rakhine State on Friday at around 3 pm after an hour and a half car journey across flat land. We had a family in the taxi with us. A young daughter and man sat in the back while the lady sat next to Van. Van closed her eyes 90% of the way. It was bumpy and so hot.
Today we went to see the temporary school building that Arakkha Foundation has erected on the patch of land that it now owns.
We're just waiting. We've been waiting since 9:30 am for the car which is broken. It arrived at 10:10 but we have to wait another 10 minutes for something. The boat is at 10:30, but it takes 1-2 hours to unload the passengers so it might be 12 when we set off. Then it might be 3-4 hours on a boat...waiting waiting waiting.
